The Ride Along Series is a series of one-off, bespoke events that allows guests to peel back a layer of various Newcastle identities, getting a behind-the-scenes look at how their mind works by showcasing their wares, interacting with you along the way.
This unique event hosted by Newy Rides showcases the city's best Texas style BBQ with Islington’s Smokin’ Hot ‘n’ Saucy and craft beer with Styx Brewery.
Smokin’ Hot ‘n’ Saucy is lead by Robert and Randi Thraves who deliver the best low ‘n’ slow barbecue meats this side of Texas whilst Styx Brewery are dedicated to producing the best beer (and gin) which an ultra localised small-batch approach serving a dedicated market of fans.
Joining the experience is historian, author and well renowned Newcastle local, Ed Tonks (OAM), who will join a walking portion of the day, giving punters and insight into Newcastle’s blue-collar pub history of days gone by.
This event is inclusive of a huge BBQ feast and beer tastings throughout.
